Our ballroom classes cover the four main International Standard dances: Waltz (elegant turning dance), Foxtrot (smooth progressive movement), Quickstep (lively and energetic), and Tango (dramatic and passionate). We start with basic steps and gradually build complexity as you develop confidence and skill.
While ballroom is traditionally a partner dance, you don't need to bring your own partner! We welcome singles and rotate partners during class so everyone gets to practice both leading and following with different people. This helps you become a more versatile ballroom dancer.

Dress smart casual - comfortable but elegant clothing that allows free movement. Ladies can wear skirts, dresses, or dressy trousers with smooth-soled shoes. Gentlemen should wear comfortable trousers and dress shoes with leather soles. Avoid rubber-soled shoes as they grip too much for smooth ballroom movements.
Absolutely! Our ballroom classes are designed to welcome complete beginners. We start with basic frame, posture, and simple steps before progressing to more complex patterns. No prior dance experience is necessary - just enthusiasm and willingness to learn this elegant art form.
Our ballroom classes take place at our professional dance studio in Manchester city centre, Unit 9, Crown Industrial Estate, Poland Street, M4 6BN. We're just a 15-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. The studio features a spacious dance floor, mirrors, and professional sound system perfect for ballroom dancing.
